The West High fishing team reeled in some cash from the Mountain Music Fishing Tournament. The West High anglers traveled to the mountain music fishing tournament, July 25, 2026 on Douglas Lake with over 200 other competing anglers from different schools. This is the 36th annual Mountain Music kids invitational bass tournament at Douglas, and lots of people donated money for the people who won money and for the organization members to buy prizes for the remaining participants

Over the summer, seven West High students traveled to San Antonio, TX to attend FBLA Nationals. Once there, they competed in various tests and competitions across varying business-related subjects. In order to compete, the students had to place within the top 10 in the state. Over the summer, the Morristown West High Beta club members who qualified for the national convention in November at the state convention traveled to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes to win. The convention ran from June 16 - 20 with many events and competitions. Morristown West High School Beta Club competed in 18 of the over 45 events. A few students from Morristown West High School were proudly represented in Indianapolis, Indiana at the 50th Anniversary of HOSA International Leadership Conference this past summer in June. Student Joselyn Hernandez competed in the Medical Spelling event.
