Career Connect is an amazing opportunity for any sophomore, junior, or senior. Students must apply to be in the club for the fall, and those selected will be granted 100 dollars for each semester they attend. The program is overseen by Niswonger. In meetings, students discuss leadership skills like building a resume and interview skills. Members take an aptitude test to determine the career path that best suits their interests. In the summer, students are given 200 dollars to go on a trip, in a coach bus, and explore different job opportunities.
On Thursday, Jan. 30, Career Connect had a meeting about the essential skills needed in the work environment. Career connect has meetings once every month in Davin Hatfield’s room. Career Connect is sponsored by Tenesha Bullington, where she provides every member a snack and a drink.
