The Horatio Alger Scholarship is a scholarship that comes with a 10,000 dollars towards a bachelors degree. Only 50 kids in Tennessee receive it. Nevaeh Chamlee is the only one in Morristown to win this scholarship.
The scholarship's goal is to honor outstanding students for their hard work, support deserving young people who are overcoming significant challenges, and commit to pursuing higher education. Chamlee had to write essays, have great academics, and have good references from teachers and people in the community.
