The Panther Creek Invitational was held on Aug 22, 2023 at Panther Creek State Park. The Morristown-West cross country team participated in the 5000 Meter Run. Other schools like Morristown East-High School, Lakeway Christian Academy, Greenville High School, and more were also there. West team is coached by coach Sarah Bowen.
The boys placed 2nd overall out of nine. Jaiden Carmichael, a senior at West High, placed 3rd out of 122 boys with a time of 18:32.60 . The girls placed 4th overall out of six. Andee Fitzgerald, a sophomore at West High, placed 9th out of 65 girls with a time of 24:17:50.
