CTE students place second in Battle of the Build Competition

  The Hamblen County team was the furthest school West in the region to compete at the Battle of the Build competition. Battle of the Build is a competition where schools and programs compete by planning and building a project from a theme and present their completed entry to judges from the building industry across the nation. This was held this past weekend in Gray, TN at the Appalachian Fair Site. The teachers involved were Mr. Jimmy Clark, Mr. Wes Harbin, and Mr. Joshua Miller. East and West students participated. The theme this year was indoor and outdoor. CTE students built a smoker, trailer, and picnic table and placed second. The CTE building and trades department wins money for this competition.
