Dollywood 2021 Season Officially Ends

The 2021 Dollywood season has come to an end, it was a very successful year. Dollywood had thousands of people visit the park; the hosts tried to make sure the guests had the best experience at Dollywood even when Covid was hitting hard. To make sure to finish the season on time, Jan. 2, Dollywood mandated that the hosts wear a mask to keep the guests safe.

Dollywood had multiple events that took place so it stayed active for the holidays. They had the Flowers and Food festival which was presented by Covenant Health. The Flowers and Food festival was immersed in the bloom of more than 500,000 vibrant and fragrant flowers across the park, which lasted from April 22 - June 5.

Dollywood also presented the Smoky Mountain summer celebration. Dollywood’s sweet summer nights had a firework show and drones that took over the skies above the Dollywood Smoky Mountains; it lasted from June 18 - Aug. 7.

To stay in spirit, Dollywood showcased the Harvest Festival that was presented by Humana. It had all sorts of different colors that lit up the park during the spooky season. It was also the greatest fall moments in the Smoky mountains during America’s #1 Fall family event voted by the USA today readers. This event took place from Sept. 23 - Oct. 29.

To end the season off strong at Dollywood, Humana presented the Smoky Mountain Christmas. During the Christmas and winter season Dollywood had over 5 million twinkling lights all throughout the park. Also, once the park hit closing time they had fireworks that lit up the skies. This was the time where guests had to make reservations to get in the park. Dollywood had so many guests that they used both Dollywood and Splash Country’s parking lot during this time. This event took place from Nov. 5 - Jan. 2.
