FBLA Rocks Regional Competition

FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, tested in various subjects Jan. 8 and 9 at West High for regional competition. The tests would then be scored and rewards would be given out at the regional competition on Jan. 30 at the Knoxville Expo Center, but due to Knox County being out for sickness, the competition was cancelled. The tests were still scored and the scores were put online for the FBLA members to look and see how they placed. FBLA is sponsored by teachers Kim Cook and Amy Whaley. Many of West High FBLA members placed in this competition.

The students who placed were as follows:

  • Andrew Goodman: 1st place computer problem solving

  • Leesha Nichols: 1st place computer applications

  • Kenzie Sprouse: 2nd place computer applications

  • Dustin Bales: 3rd place entrepreneurship

  • Nicole Butler: 4th place intro. business communication

  • Vito Raimondi: 4th place word processing

  • Baylee Stroud / Shyane Livesay: 4thplace hospitality management

  • Dawson Wood: 7th place word processing

  • Dallas Lindsey: 7th place economics

o Deklyn Manuel: impromptu speaking

o Anne Katherine Brady: impromptu speaking

o Jacob Carratini: public speaking
