How to become a TN Tri-Star Scholar

To become a TN Tri-Star Scholar, students have to earn a composite score of nineteen or higher on the ACT, or an equivalent score on the SAT, and earn a capstone industry certification as promoted by the Department of Education. They will be recognized as a Tennessee Tri-Start Scholar upon graduation from high school. A student who fulfills the requirements of the Tennessee work ethic distinction program will also be recognized as a Tennessee Tri-Star Scholar upon graduation from high school and get to wear a pin at graduation.
