Huey Magoo’s Morristown location opened April 20, after a soft opening April 19. The newly trained employees are friendly and helpful, providing excellent service, even with some of the pains that come with a newly opened establishment and an extraordinary amount of customers.
At the previously mentioned soft opening, the 5:00 PM crowd was considerable and there was a line out the door. This line quickly dissipated because of the quick and concise service.
The food itself is mostly chicken tenders. However, these tenders can be served grilled, fried, or tossed in the sauce of the recipient's choosing, as well as in the form of a wrap, a sandwich, a salad, or simply as chicken tenders. The chicken tenders themselves are flavourful, crispy, and greasy in the best way possible. In the world of sides, Huey Magoo’s offers toast, fries, fresh cut chips, and coleslaw.
In the opinion of West Side Story staff writer, Luke Davis, “The fries were very well seasoned with enough kick to taste good but not to be overwhelming. The tenders themselves were delicious. The sandwich was also very good, it is not a filet like you would expect, but three tenders. In addition to this, pickles on the sandwich were good, which is something that I believe is very important on the sandwich.” Staff advisor, Amy Whaley, had similar thoughts about Huey Magoo’s, “Huey Magoo's Morristown has top notch customer service with tasty food. Of the dishes I sampled, the garlic parmesan chicken with fries and toast was my favorite.”
