March 5, 2022 the speech and debate traveled to Cookeville High School for Nationals. Rylee Linkous and Cayden placed 1st in Forensic. Rylee Linkous has been named student of the year due to her dedication and hard work. She shared that ‘’ Not only this but my
story has had a huge impact on the way I act and treat others. I always try my hardest to ensure that everyone on my team feels loved, accepted, safe, and heard. ‘’ She is a brilliant young student. Linkous shared that she has been preparing for her competition just about all year. This competition is huge and seeing how she is a senior it's her last chance so she made sure that she was prepared. Mrs. Terry shared how excited she was for her qualifying students seeing all their hard work. Overall it was a great turn out.
