The West versus Elizabethton soccer game started off amazing. After the first half of the soccer game, the lady Trojans had scored 5-0. Following after this was the senior night for the Lady Soccer Trojans. Resuming to the game, the lady Trojans had scored again in less than five minutes after resuming back from half time. As the game continued, the match finally ended bringing the final score to be 8-1. The lady Trojans won the soccer game against Elizabethton.
“The season has not gone as planned. We should have played better at times. Every day is a learning experience. We just want to be better tomorrow than we were today,” said Coach Jennifer Murphy. As the beginning of the season began, the Lady Trojans have managed to give in all their efforts and everything throughout each game.
Since the season started, the Lady Soccer Trojans have had a record of six, four losses, and two ties. “We have high but reasonable expectations for every player on our team. All we ask is that they give everything they have ever had,” responded Murphy for the expectations that she has for each one of her players.
The impact players of the Lady Trojans soccer team are Emily Spain, having 16 goals and 1 assist. She is followed by Izzy Carattini, having 5 goals and 4 assists. Amaya Yarid plays in the middle and is a playmaker. Avory Robinson plays defense, and is very aggressive.
Murphy said, “We go into every game feeling like we have the best shot to win. As long as we execute the game plan there is always a chance.”
