General Federation of Women's Clubs Tennessee Scholarship- is dedicated to community involvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. The Tennessee Federation awards scholarships of $1,000 to deserving students in Tennessee. Candidates must be planning to attend a Tennessee college or university. Horatio Alger National and State Scholarship- open for high school juniors. Must demonstrate financial need, be involved in co-curricular and community service, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, minimum 2.0 GPA, and be a US Citizen. Shane Hodge Shelter Insurance Foundation Agents’ Scholarship- this is a $1,500 scholarship for graduating seniors. The scholarship will send the money directly to the accredited college, university, or trade school in which the scholarship recipient has enrolled. Applicants’ scholastic achievement, participation and leadership in school and community activities, citizenship, moral character, educational goals, and financial need will be taken into consideration. Made Better.” Scholarship- students who wish to apply should have at least a 3.0 GPA and be involved in two extracurricular activities (including sports, school clubs, volunteer work, or employment). Recommendation letter from a teacher or counselor required. Essay of at least 1,000 words describing facets of what he/she believes can make life better for individuals in the community and how he/she commits to that goal. Regions Riding Forward Scholarship- To enter, graduating seniors must submit a 500-word (or less) Written Essay or a 3-minute (or less) Video Essay that addresses how a Black American individual has been an inspiration in your life, and that discusses the contributions of that Black American individual.
