Morristown Runs on New Dunkin’

By Bailey Metcalf

Coffee drinkers and donut lovers, the new Dunkin’ Donuts in Morristown, Tennessee is finally open! The new establishment is located, alongside Fastop, in front of Rural King on West Andrew Johnson Highway. The new slick and modern design attracts customers with great service and great coffee and doughnuts. The facility offers a comfortable inside and outside seating area, accompanied by a drive-thru. This Dunkin’ Donuts location has updated technology, with upgraded tap systems serving up to eight different kinds of coffee in a small amount of time. Dunkin’ Donuts also offers a reward system with their apps, cutting down the time significantly less than before.

The hours of Dunkin’ Donuts are from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday, opening at 6:00 AM on Sunday mornings and closing at 9:00 PM on Sunday nights.

When asking students at West High School their review of the new Dunkin Donuts, their responses were positive. A senior, who is also an employee at Dunkin’ Donuts, Sidneay Johnson, shared what it is like working at the establishment. She explained, “It is really easy and simple to work with everyone. They are all nice and are mostly positive. Dealing with customers is easy, just with getting them what they have ordered and sending them on their way. The hours are flexible and worth it if you are in school.” Another response was from a current senior at West High School, Hannah Lakins. She comically responded, “It makes me lose $2.39 almost every morning and it is worth every penny.”
