Morristown-Hamblen High School West’s new administrative wing and renovated cafeteria have opened and are now operational. Administrative staff began to move into the new offices in late January and by mid-February the front lobby opened to the public.
Featuring high ceilings and bright colors, this new office space brings a modern feel to West High and gives the front of the building a much needed facelift. The project broke ground in early 2020 after school had dismissed early due to COVID-19. Throughout the year, new air-conditioning units and bathrooms were added in addition to the renovated cafeteria and new office. Guidance is currently in the process of moving into the old office space.
The renovated cafeteria began serving students in January. Renovations on the cafeteria began in early 2020 with major renovations being completed by January of 2021. Minor projects are still being completed in the dining area.
New gymnasium wing bathrooms are currently being built and are expected to be completed soon.
