Ms. Tara Phillips, math teacher at Morristown-Hamblen High School West, has been selected Hamblen County's District High School Teacher of the Year. Phillips will move on in the competition to compete at the regional level for First Core Region I
. She was nominated and voted upon by her colleagues as school level teacher of the year. Then, she was chosen by a committee in another system as Hamblen's District Teacher of the Year.
