Seniors attend mini-college fair at Carson-Newman

West High Seniors attended a mini-college fair at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City. Monday Sept. 25 at 8:50 a.m., West High’s Class of 2024 arrived at Carson-Newman on several buses and filed into the Maddox Student Activities Center, a 96,000 square-foot facility. The mini-college fair was held in the building’s main gymnasium.

Several college representatives were present to persuade students to apply for admission, including East Tennessee State University, Lincoln Memorial University, the University of Tennessee, Walters State Community College, Tennessee Tech, Maryville College, Austin Peay State University, Warren Wilson College, West Kentucky University, Middle Tennessee State University, Carson-Newman University, and many more.

All college tables were set up around the perimeter of the gymnasium, with Carson-Newman having its own massive table in the center of the court displaying its many departments. Seniors departed Carson-Newman at 9:45 a.m. and were back at West High by 10:10 a.m.
