West High School offered personalized parking spots for students and faculty this year! This event was for senior students and faculty. Students painted their parking spots on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021.Family, friends, and others were allowed to aid. They began checking in at West High at 8 a.m. The painting lasted until 4 p.m. that day, and any clean-up was required to be finished by 4:30 p.m.
The cost of painting spots was fifty dollars. Supplies that were needed were not included in this price. Twenty dollars of this covered the registration fee. The other part of the money went to the American Cancer Society. This was done in loving memory of former West High staff members Cari Ashford and Jane Dickerson, who passed away last school year due to cancer.
Senior Nicolette Abate’s parking spot was a mix of Harry Potter, music, Finding Nemo, and math. Abate comments, “I chose this theme because it’s different things that I enjoy and make me happy.” Senior spots are often a reflection of that person’s individual personality and interests, which is why each one is unique.
