Aug. 23 the Trojans beat the Hurricanes for the sixth year in a row with a score of 23-19. In the first half of the game, it wasn’t looking so good for the Trojans. Dylan Cribley passed the football to Jackson Cole for a 20 yard touchdown bringing the score to 7-13. At the end of the second quarter, the Hurricanes were leading with a score of 13-10.
In the fourth quarter, Hunter Delaney ran for 23 yards and made a touchdown bringing the score to 23-19 with only nine minutes left in the game.
First year assistant coach, Aaron Jones, stated, “I am satisfied that we won, but not how we performed. I think that there is a lot of little things we could do better. I think there are a lot of little things that we can do throughout the week to help better our performance.”
