Juan Villasenor and Jacob Greene recently signed, at the West High auditorium, to the colleges of their dreams to play four years of football. This was a huge accomplishment for these senior players, since few actually get to play in college.
Villasenor has been playing football for four years now and he is revving up to play four more. He intends to go to the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. Villasenor intends on majoring in prelaw and is ecstatic about kicking for four years. Villasenor commented, “I’m really confident in choosing the University of the Cumberlands because overall the environment is the ideal place I need for me to be successful and just overall the team and the coaching staff is
somewhere where I can see myself and
fit in, and I’m just very excited for this upcoming season.”
Greene has been playing for 14 years now and he’s ready to make it big in the big leagues. He is going to Carson Newman University where he intends to also play four more years. Greene plans on being an education major in history, so he can later coach and teach at a school somewhere. Greene remarked,” I think I made a great choice. I prayed about it, and I told my parents about it, and I thanked God about it. I chose the right place to go. It’s a great place and community, and it’s got a lot of great people. I love the coaches. They were super good to me, but I just love the campus in general.”
Both athletes have worked hard up to this moment, and in return accomplished this massive achievement.
