Holt, a well involved student at West, states he did not expect to win the award. Being an outgoing, sociable person can get one far and grow, “I hope to gain even more confidence,” Holt states. With being the social butterfly, it is sure that they are to have many friends, Holt indicates, “I talk to a lot of people, so I have know idea. I would say I have more than thirty friends.”

But what do they do on days that they are not required to be around people? Holt comments, “In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends or watching movies,” as well as, “I spend time with both at home, and I spend time with my family,” when there are long breaks away from school and other extracurricular activities.

Epps, the other receiver of the superlative, mentions that while she did not anticipate winning, she was not entirely surprised by it. With the same as Holt, she is an involved individual at school and outside of it as well. By being a social butterfly, Epps states, “It has definitely helped! For example, I am currently going through the process of auditioning for music at colleges! Although I am definitely anxious, I just make sure to talk to them as much as I can! Once I get started it just kind of comes easy to me.” Similar to Holt, Epps comments that in her free time, “During a break I would definitely choose to spend time with my friends!” However, being a social butterfly does not mean that an individual constantly wants to be out and around others. “Some Days it does depend on my mood, but most of the time I would definitely choose going out.” Epps exclaims, along with mentioning that during breaks she also enjoys spending time working on music– beside hanging out with others.
