On Oct 2, West High Trojans took part in games during the pep rally preceding the homecoming game on Friday Oct. 4. The following were played during the pep rally: Find the Item, Trojan Derby, Hungry Hippos, Cup Game, Tug-o-War, Balloon Relay, and Blind Musical Beanbag. Senior Class President Bella Picardi declared, “The games were chosen by the pep rally committee in our meeting”.
Many students chose to participate in these games, exemplifying their Trojan pride by choosing to show how much fun the Trojan Family is. The Junior class came in second place with 12 points. The Sophomore class came in third with 10 points. The Freshmen class came in fourth with 6 points. All classes gave amazing school spirit, but the Senior class ended up taking the win with 19 points.
All in all, the pep rally was a huge success, with students mentioning that the games were especially fun and they were excited to see what West had in store for the next pep rallies. Students playing the games were able to represent their grade levels, and football players as well as the Homecoming court were given their moment to shine at center stage (both figuratively and literally).
