Morristown-Hamblen High School West has a scheduled ten million dollar renovation expected to begin Summer 2020. Three companies came to bid on the construction job, and each of them bid close to eight million.
The renovation will cover bathrooms, expand the cafeteria, replace sewage pipes, add more parking, and build a front wing. Next, the cafeteria expansion will help bring the lunch sessions from four to three. The front wing will house the administration offices, the SROs, and be used to help keep the students safe. Any visitors must go through the front wing to enter the school.
Dr. Perry Stated in a recent interview, “Hamblen County Schools has recently acquired property to close to West High School to be converted to a potential new soccer field.”
