Passion Conferences unify students in worship, prayer, and justice for spiritual awakening in this generation. This first started on January 1-4, 1997. It took place in Austin, Texas, where two thousand high school and college aged students attended. This year, Passion took place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, from January 2-4 and January 6-8. Approximately up to fifty-five thousand students attended. Worship artists Crowder, Sean Curran, Kari Jobe Carnes, Cody Carnes, Brooke Ligertwood, KB, Phil Wickham, and Brandon Lake attended. Passion has had one goal, calling students from around the world to better their lives for what matters first. West High has had seniors throughout the years attend Passion. They have announced their dates for 2025. It will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, from January 2-4 and January 6-8. They had recently announced that they were sold out for both dates!
West High alumni, Ellie Howard, has been going for the past three years along with other alumnus. Howard states, “Passion has been such a life changing experience for me! I’ve gone over the past three years, and I’m planning to go again in January. I went for the first time as a senior in high school, and that trip completely changed my relationship with Christ… What I saw and heard at Passion sparked a dependence on God that I never had before. I will forever be grateful for that experience. Since then, every time I've gone to Passion, I’ve grown more and more in my walk. Passion holds such a dear place in my heart, and I will never forget the impact it has had on my life.”
