Last football season East High did not win any football games. However, they started this season 1-0 beating West in the Citizen Tribune kickoff classic. West fell 14-26 in their opening varsity game. Two quarterbacks fought for West, but East carried less penalties. Initially Cam Richards scored the first touchdown for West making the score 7-6 West. After that, the Trojans stayed behind the Hurricanes on the scoreboard. However, TJ Walthhall had a great 23 yard run to score the Trojan final touchdown for the night.
Congratulations to the West players of the game Cam Richards, Luke Orr, Zeke Alvarado, Gavin Price, Evan Barker, and Amare Bullock. Good luck to the players of the remaining season. West will face Elizabethton this Friday night Aug.30 in an away game.
