Youth Leadership is an organization made up of juniors from Morristown East and West High School. Youth Leadership meets once or twice a month to get together and develop connections and life long lessons to help further the career of young individuals. These students influence decisions for other school clubs such as FBLA, CTE programs, Arts build skills, JA Biztown and more.
Tuesday, Aug. 8, The Morristown-Hamblen Youth Leadership group visited the Hamblen-County Board of Education to recognize many students. Youth Leadership as a group was recognized for their outstanding leadership skills and their commitment to Morristown's future. A few other groups were recognized such as the scholars bowl runners up and the winner. New teachers were also recognized by the Board of Education.
So far, Youth Leadership has held a nerf war in the gym and studied each others personalities at Walters State. In the future, they are going to a session of County Commission, learning about Business Etiquette, Applying for College, Visiting the Daily Bread, City Council, Future Ready Expo, MUS Fiber Tour/7 Decisions, Entrepreneurship & Technology, and more.
